Description
About Innovia
Innovia Technology has an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a background in behavioural science, to work on varied and creative innovation challenges and help us deliver actionable innovation breakthroughs for our global clients.
We solve complex innovation challenges and create new opportunities so our clients can outperform competitors and change the world for good. You’ll join our holistic project teams to collaborate and work on the most demanding of challenges.
Our clients include Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, LEGO, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Haleon, Shell, IWC Schaffhausen, Kenvue, Kraft Heinz, and The North Face. Clients work with Innovia Technology because our work leads to products and services that customers prefer - reaching markets faster and more efficiently than any realistic alternative.
What you’ll get
At Innovia you won’t join an isolated behavioural science department, instead you’ll represent your field by joining collaborative project teams composed of experts in other disciplines - from veterinary medicine to theoretical physics, plant science, industrial design, chemical biology, business strategy, engineering and more.
You’ll begin by leveraging your skills and knowledge in behavioural science to help us expand our capacity to undertake front-end product development activities, and to bring crucial pragmatism to early-stage innovation projects.
You’ll solve complex problems within industries from food and drink to energy, cosmetics, manufacturing, consumer goods, health or medicines.
Responsibilities
You‘ll spend most of your time working on the innovation challenges faced by our clients. You’ll typically work on 3-4 projects at once, and the nature of these projects can be remarkably varied, but here is a list of key things you will be doing
- Bringing your technical skills and creativity to innovation challenges
- Collaborating closely with colleagues from different fields to solve broad and complex problems
- Conducting desk-based research (e.g., literature reviews) and primary research (qualitative and quantitative)
- Creating new ideas, insights, and models, and transferring this thinking between different applications and industries
- Challenging conventional thinking and industry-specific assumptions
- Helping to structure and create presentations for colleagues and clients
Requirements
It is important that you:
- Hold a Master’s/PhD degree in Behavioural Science or a closely related applied field (or have equivalent experience), with a strong foundation in psychology gained either through a psychology-focused master’s programme or an undergraduate degree in psychology.
- Have a good understanding of key principles in cognitive, social, biological and behavioural psychology, including behaviour change theories, and the ability to apply these insights to unfamiliar problems.
- Be comfortable managing and analysing datasets from studies and literature reviews, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Are keen to work in a dynamic commercial and client focussed environment.
- Have a strong interest in collaborative teamwork and have good communication skills.
- Are comfortable giving your considered opinion on complex questions, and taking part in lively discussions.
- Have excellent timekeeping and task management skills, to be able to take responsibility for your own work and time.
- Have an interest in applying your creativity across a wide range of industries, and the ability to quickly learn about new areas.
- Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive, collaborative working and learning environment.
