We work with European institutions, other public bodies and institutions, and private-sector clients to support evidence-informed decision-making through rigorous research, experimental methods, and applied policy analysis.

We are looking for a Behavioural Research Consultant to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of policy-oriented research projects, with a strong focus on EU tenders, behavioural experiments, survey design, UX research, and the expansion of our work with private-sector clients.
The role
This role is ideal for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience, strong applied research skills, and proven experience working on projects for public institutions, especially in the context of European Union tenders and policy studies. Experience in, or interest in, supporting the growth of behavioural research projects for private-sector clients is also highly valued.
The successful candidate will contribute to both business development and project delivery, supporting the preparation of technical proposals and the implementation of behavioural research projects for both policy and private-sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and tenders for the European Commission and other public institutions
- Support the design and implementation of behavioural science projects for policy and private-sector clients
- Develop experimental designs, including surveys, online experiments, and related research tools
- Program surveys and experiments in Qualtrics or similar platforms
- Conduct UX research activities, including programming and testing user journeys, reviewing interfaces and prototypes, and identifying behavioural frictions and barriers
- Support the preparation of research materials such as interview guides, questionnaires, workshop materials, and analytical frameworks
- Analyse and synthesise findings from desk research, experiments, surveys, and qualitative research
- Contribute to project reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
- Work closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure high-quality and policy-relevant outputs
Requirements
Essential requirements
- A PhD or Master’s degree in behavioural science, psychology, economics, public policy, social research, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a research institute, consultancy, or policy advisory environment
- Strong skills in experimental design, with a proven record of developing and programming behavioural studies and policy-oriented experiments
- Hands-on experience programming surveys or experiments in Qualtrics or similar platforms, with examples of shareable work
- UX research experience, with a proven track record in user testing, user journey analysis, interface review, or related activities
- Experience working with survey panels, online experiments, or digital fieldwork operations
Additional assets
- Proven experience in tender preparation for the European Union and/or other public institutions
- Experience in a client-facing context
- Proven record of involvement in policy-related projects, with references that can be discussed during the selection process
- Experience with qualitative research tools, including interviews, workshops, and protocol development

Work package
- Salary range: €32,000–€38,000, depending on proven experience
- Meal vouchers
- 2 days per week of remote working
- Up to 6 weeks of remote working abroad
