Description

SC&A is seeking a qualified PhD level behavioral scientists with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience to work full time on a dedicated Federal government contract. Duties will include designing and conducting research, analysis, survey design, data collection, report and briefing generation, and related activities to assist in enhancing the capability and resiliency of citizens and communities in the area of emergency management and preparedness. The position will also support other activities related to the program and the client’s initiatives, to be defined by the client. The candidate will work in teams and independently.

The position is open as an office-based or telework position. Travel to client’s offices in Washington DC and around the country is required. Travel will be infrequent (2 to 6 times per year) and may last up to two weeks.

  • Proven track record in designing and conducting behavioral research and analysis;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
  • Be able to work in teams as well as independently;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal emergency management and homeland security programs;
  • Experience in supporting Federal programs to enhance citizen engagement.

Requirements

  • PhD in Behavioral Science or comparable degree
  • Minimum of 10 years applicable experience
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to handle information confidentially

Candidates must pass pre-employment background screening and receive DHS suitability prior to employment.

Additional Information

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000.
