Thank you for agreeing to review a manuscript for the Behavioral Economics Guide. Your feedback helps ensure that each article is clear, insightful, and practically useful for our audience. We ask that you provide constructive comments on overall strengths, areas for improvement, and anything that could enhance clarity or usefulness.

Manuscript Evaluation Points

As you prepare your feedback, you may wish to consider the following questions:

  • Is the main question addressed by the article interesting or original and (practically) relevant?
  • Is the article well-structured/organized? Is it well written (in publishable English)?
  • Do the authors sufficiently explain the ideas (e.g. behavioral theory) behind their hypotheses or argument(s)?
  • Is there evidence (or examples) presented to test the hypotheses (or arguments)? Are the conclusions consistent with the evidence and arguments presented?
  • Is it clear whether research results are statistically significant?
  • Are the practical implications of the work articulated clearly?
  • Are there any areas where citations are needed? (note that we don’t expect as many citations as an academic paper)
  • Are additional section headers needed to break up the text?
  • Should the text be shortened (upper limit: 3,500 words, excluding bibliography)? If so, how/where?

Please feel free to highlight any other issues—large or small—that could improve clarity, accuracy, or readability. We appreciate focused, high‑level suggestions as well as specific edits.
