Terms and Conditions for the Behavioral Economics Guide 2023 Anniversary Cover Design Competition
Eligibility
Anyone aged 18 years or older may participate.
Entry Requirements
All entries must be original and entirely the product of the participant’s own efforts, without any use of third-party material or AI assistance. Participation is limited to one entry per participant and one participant per entry.
Participants may submit their cover design with or without typography (title, year and author names). Participants who choose to include it as part of their entry are asked to submit a “clean” version of their artwork that excludes the text. Participants who prefer to exclude the typography from their artwork should assume that the top half of the cover page will be published with superimposed text similar to the 2022 edition.
Participants must submit their entry as an A4-sized PDF and high-resolution image file by 30 April 2023 (6pm UTC).
Judging and Selection
Designs will be shortlisted and a winner will be chosen by our Behavioral Economics Group / BehavioralEconomics.com community. The winning artwork will be announced in May or June 2023.
Prizes
The winning artwork will be published as the BE Guide 2023 cover in June, 2023. We will also add a short profile of the artist in the publication’s front matter.
We reserve the right to offer a prize or compensation to the winner of the competition, however, the nature of such prize or compensation will be at our discretion and subject to change.
Ownership and Rights
Participants agree that they will assign all intellectual property rights and exclusive use of the artwork to the Behavioral Economics Guide in the event that they are chosen as the winner.
Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified if they fail to comply with the competition rules, submit incomplete or inaccurate entries, plagiarize or infringe upon the intellectual property of others, engage in unethical conduct or behavior, or attempt to manipulate or influence the judging process. Any decision to disqualify a participant will be at the sole discretion of the competition organizers and will be final. Participants should carefully review these terms and conditions and ensure they understand and comply with all requirements to avoid potential disqualification.
