Description

Open Evidence is a leading research and consulting company specializing in behavioural science and big data analytics for both public sector and private sector clients. We operate within various domains such as environmental behaviour, public health, financial sector, consumers’ protection in the online environment, and many more. We are expanding our behavioural team, which brings together a variety of expertise ranging from behavioural economics, cognitive and social psychology, qualitative and quantitative research methods and behavioural graphic design. We are looking for a behavioural researcher willing to join our team. We work in multidisciplinary teams distributed across Europe; fluent English and good communication skills are necessary. This position is based in Milan or Barcelona.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and develop experimental protocols to rigorously test hypotheses, utilizing a solid foundation in behavioural science methodologies.
  • Experimental and survey programming.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of interventions.
  • Compile comprehensive reports that summarize research findings, outcomes of interventions, and propose recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Literature reviews and desk research.
  • Presentation preparation and delivery to various stakeholders.
  • Tender proposal preparation.
  • Support the creation of business cases in the domain of behavioural intervention.
  • Work closely with our public and private sector clients and develop trust-based relationships.

Requirements

  • PhD or postdoc in behavioural science is considered a plus, though not a strict prerequisite.
  • Research Master's degree in Behavioural Economics, Economics, or Psychology is a prerequisite.
  • Experience with public policy research activity is considered a plus.
  • Training in quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to communicate concepts and ideas in a succinct, logical and clear manner.
  • A drive to learn and engage in new social sciences topics research.
  • Ability to work not only as a team member but also with limited supervision on personal initiative.
  • Client-orientation.
  • Proficient level of English with proven by previous experience using the language in an academic/professional environment. Additional language(s) will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, zTree).
  • Availability to travel.
  • EU work permit.

Additional Information

  • Full-time job with time flexibility (3 days in the office, 2 remote)
  • 6 weeks/year remote work from abroad
  • Indefinite contract
  • Base salary + meal vouchers + bonus and annual salary review based on individual and company performance.
  • Possibility to publish academic articles and conference participation.
